Low Fell Committee Meeting

30th November 2017 6.15pm

 

Present: Clare Magrath, Keith Pearson, Carl Watson, Garry Patterson,, Neil Kavanagh,  John Stephens

 

Apologies: Alan Elders, lesley Johnson, Stan White, Vicki Halse,Neil Morris

 

Agenda:

  • London marathon entry - draw - vote - when to action?

  • Any final arrangements for Xmas party

  • Juniors Xmas party

  • Any proposed entry to Northern XC; deadlines for that and also nationals

  • Hats

  • Christmas Drinks date

  • Grant options - where should the money go?

    • 2018 club Grand Prix

  • Date of next meeting: 25th January 2018

Minutes:

  • London marathon entry -  committee discussed the best way to deal with the situation of the club places number being changed. There was a vote and it was agreed to redraw the 2 names for the 1 place in the favour of 5-1 votes. Jason Long’s name was drawn out and he has been informed of his place in the Marathon.

  • Any final arrangements for Xmas party - Clare said everything is in hand and there are around 60 people on the guestlist.

  • Juniors Xmas party - Alan has booked ‘The Pits’ for Friday 29th December at 3pm. Vicki, Garry, John and Alan will discuss the funding the party and goody bags for the juniors.

  • Northern and National XC - Clare has set up a group on Facebook to begin arranging the trip to London. There has been interest and train tickets have been booked. Clare is going to arrange trip to Northerns in the next few weeks and organise bus travel to and from the venue on the same day.

  • Hats - It was agreed that we will put another order in the Spring. Clare is going to contact the company to see if there is an option for individual club members to put their orders in via their website.

  • Christmas Drinks date - Christmas Drinks will take place at the new! Gateshead Arms on Saturday 30th December at 7.30pm. More details will be posted about this via the google groups and facebook closer to the time.

  • Grant options - Group discussed various options for the grant. Clare will speak to Alan about these and discuss this further.

  • AOB -

    • 2018 club Grand Prix - all set up and ready to go, time table for the new Grand Prix is on the website.
