Great North Cross Country Jan 3rd 2004
Jon Archer and Mark McDonald competed with the best in the world in the Great North CC on the 3rd Jan against runners of the calibre of S Sihine,E Kipchoge,P Tergat,D Anderson, D Bannister,M O'Dowd and Low Fell was one of two clubs with two runners in the event. They performed extremely well and better than they had expected too finishing 31st and 32nd and look for more top class competition in the future. Both ran in their club vest and were a credit to the club. In the Great Winter Run the club was represented by Mick Graham, Shaun Dunlop,Bill Doidge, Allan Clark and Stan White.
